A mapped-out journey.

We’re taking children on a journey from 0-11 yrs old where they develop a deep connection to their Belly Bugs, learning the crucial role these little helpers play in their lives. We call this journey, ‘Follow the Belly Bug Road.’

We’re building resources that tell the Belly Bugs story at every stage of a child’s development at home and at school.

From weaning to KS2 biology lessons and everything in between, encompassing books, toys, games and film.

We’re providing these resources for children, parents, teachers, healthcare professionals, dieticians and nutritionists.

“It’s not one-off excitement. They are sustaining it and carrying it on.”

A truth that stays for life.

As children move through their school years to adulthood, the truth they learned about Belly Bugs as infants will remain with them, precisely because it is the truth. Only the terminology changes. Belly Bugs become gut microbes. The fertiliser that Chewus Poohus poohs out becomes the short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) that are so important to our health.

Rumbledom’s Fab Lab becomes the ‘pharmacy’ in our gut that Professor Spector vividly describes in his books and podcasts.

Our Belly Bug story is not on a par with Father Christmas or the Tooth Fairy who are rumbled sometime in primary school. This is vital, factual knowledge that every child should be taught from day one at school and at home and that they will benefit from acting upon throughout their life.
